The Holidays in any year for most of us are both a wonderful time of celebration and a season with various challenges. We love being with family and... we can lose ourselves unintentionally into unhealth in being with family. We love the hustle and bustle of the season and… we can lose ourselves unintentionally into unhealth with the stress caused by the hustle and bustle. We love the focus on the birth of Jesus and…we can lose ourselves unintentionally into unhealth when the “other stuff” causes us to minimize the “reason for the season” as the saying goes.
So let’s come together and center ourselves for this “most wonderful time of the year.” Let’s center together on God in Jesus Christ born into this world as a baby through corporate and individual spiritual practices. And let’s center together our minds and our hearts in our Enneagram style that we might recognize more clearly this holiday season when we are reacting in unhealth so we can step back and respond with movement toward health.
This retreat workshop will include brief teaching as well as corporate engagement in various spiritual practices such as Fixed Hour Prayer, Centering Prayer, Welcoming Prayer, and the Labyrinth and the need for contemplative spiritual practices to move us toward our true self health in our Enneagram style. Finally the day will offer opportunity to individually connect with God through desired practices of each person.
