We may collect and store personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) from you when (1) you register for an event or other services; (2) contact us via email, phone, or other means; (3) submit information related to ministry or ministry service in which you participate, volunteer, or seek information about; (4) make a donation, set up giving, or make a commitment or pledge; (5) log into or interact with our mobile app or request an account with us; (6) applying to work with Grace Fishers; (7) visiting our Site or through third-party cookies; or (8) you otherwise provide us with your personal information.
Our goal in collecting information from you is to ultimately make your experience better as you use our Site or interact with Grace Fishers. Personal Information we collect may include, without limitation, your name, phone number, mailing address, date of birth, marital status, gender, anniversary, username, password, credit card information, and church affiliation, if you submit such information. Any information that you voluntarily provide equates to information that you are giving us consent to use.
Visitors are not required to register with Grace Fishers to access public pages of the Site. However, as part of the standard operation of the Site, Grace Fishers, or third parties, we may collect non-personal information from you including, but not limited to, your browser type, mobile device type, operating system, IP address, and domain name from which you accessed the Site. This information is not personally identifiable and is only used in aggregate (not in any way that personally identifies you). We may use the Personal Information and non-personal information we collect from and about you for any of the following purposes: (1) to fulfill your requests for products and services or event registration; (2) to assist Grace Fishers serving you related to a certain ministry service in which you or your child participates; (3) to organize volunteers for particular ministry purposes; (4) to communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, to provide you with updates and other information related to the Site and for marketing and promotional purposes; (5) to personalize your experience on our Site; (6) to process your donations and monetary gifts or pledges; (7) to review and analyze Site usage and operations; (8) to address problems or make improvements with the Site, our ministry, or our products, and services; (9) to protect the security or integrity of the Site and our ministry; (10) to provide you with targeted offers and advertising; (11) to create a mobile account or other account upon your request or action; and (12) register, check you into, and track your attendance at events and services.
The privacy of communication over the Internet cannot be guaranteed, because the Internet is not a secure medium. You agree that Grace Fishers is not responsible for any harm, loss, or damage you may incur by the sending of personal or confidential information over the Internet by or to Grace Fishers.
Grace Fishers will not sell your Personal Information, but may provide it to third parties to enable us to provide services to you or enable us to do ministry. Those third parties are required to keep your Personal Information confidential and only use it to provide us and you with their services.
You may be able to access the Site or sign into your personal account through a third-party application (e.g. Facebook). In allowing access through such an application, we may receive certain information (including Personal Information) from the third-party application and disclose certain information to such third-party applications. If you access the Site or your account from a mobile application, you may provide us with geo-location details. You may prevent this disclosure by adjustting the settings on your mobile device.
Personal Information obtained through this Site is stored internally or through a data management system. We value your safety, so your Personal Information will only be accessed by people who are responsible for gathering, managing or storing it, or who have a legitimate need to access it. (i.e., our hosting provider, newsletter provider, payment processors, or team members).
Under California’s "Shine the Light" law, California residents who provide Personal Information in obtaining products or services for personal, family, or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year information about the Personal Information we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 without the consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian.
A parent or guardian may consent to using our Site or services by a minor. However, we ask that you discuss the risks of sharing personal information on the Internet with your children and require that they refrain from communicating with any third parties or sharing any personal information online or otherwise without the supervision of a parent or guardian. Should you allow your minor child to use our sites or services, you are solely responsible for supervising the minor’s use of the same and assume full responsibility for the processing of any information provided to us by that minor.
Where you associate your minor child’s information with your account (e.g. registering for them for an event or checking them into weekend services), we will assume you consent to our processing of that information in accordance with this policy and other privacy notices and terms we may provide to you from time to time.
If you are the parent or guardian of a child age 13 or under who has provided us with Personal Information and you would like that information removed, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You may access Personal Information you provide to us, or correct or modify such Personal Information, or direct us not to disclose your Personal Information to any third party other than those necessary to complete a transaction you initiate on the Site, those related to a legal proceedings, or those related to a change in control of Grace Fishers or certain of its assets.
We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following: (1) to access or request copies of your Personal Information, (2) to request we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete, or (3) to delete or restrict processing of your Personal Information under certain conditions.
We may be unable to delete certain information, depending on your history and continued involvement (e.g. giving history and mailing address if used for tax and accounting purposes, phone number to check you or your family into weekend services or events, email address if you serve with a ministry or are part of a group, etc...). Previously removed information may be added back to your profile if you provide this information again when registering for an event, completing a form, or otherwise provide us with the information.
