Most people can picture a baptism. Someone gets lowered into water, then comes back up. Everyone cheers. Moving and meaningful, but if you've never really understood what's happening, it can feel a little hard to understand how baptism is more than just a moment in the water.
The thing is, Jesus was baptized. Not because He needed to be, but because He was showing us something. What He set in motion that day is still happening every time someone steps into that water.
