Power in the Ordinary

By
Rob Yonan

Life is often made up of ordinary moments—quiet routines, small efforts, and days that feel unseen. It’s easy to feel overlooked or question whether the small, faithful actions really matter. Yet even in the simplest, most ordinary parts of life, God is at work. He provides, protects, and cares through everyday circumstances and through people around us, often in ways we don’t notice at first.

Whether it’s a kind word, a helping hand, or the discipline of showing up day after day, these ordinary acts carry significance far beyond what we can see. Even when circumstances feel mundane, God’s presence and purpose are at work.

Looking back, we often see God’s hand more clearly than we do in the moment. By paying attention to ordinary days, we can cultivate gratitude, deepen trust, and recognize how God is shaping our lives and the lives of others around us.
