Responsibilities
- Work with co-teacher to develop lesson plans and learning centers according to the curriculum and philosophy of the preschool that include instruction and/or experiences for all learning types.
Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children's learning and growth.
Communicate with parents/guardians about their child and address concerns and questions that may surface.
Attend preschool staff meetings as scheduled.
Participate in parent conferences to discuss children's developmental progress, needs and interests.
Provide a clean, safe classroom environment throughout the school day.
Collaborate with Grace Fishers Preschool staff as necessary for lesson planning and sharing resources.
Work Schedule
- 10-20 hours/week (depending on when the class meets)
- August-May (according to school calendar)
- 8:30 am-1:30 pm
- Monday-Thursdays
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Ministry Preferred
- 2-5 years of preschool/early education, childhood development or ministry experience
- CPR certified (Grace Fishers Preschool will provide)
- Proven experience in the following areas of skill:
- Exhibited knowledge of God’s Word
- Knowledge of early child development
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Solid interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
