To "level up", we need to be part of a healthy, Christ-centered community. It’s easy to live isolated or in a pseudo-community and stay stuck, but doing life alone limits our ability to "level up".
Those people can be the worst. You know who “those people” are, right? We all have them, and they are difficult to like, much less love. It’s helpful to know that Jesus had “those people,” too, and His love for them creates the model for our behavior. It’s easy to like and love Jesus. At least until “those people” show up.
Today were going to focus on a part of the Easter story we don't often talk about found in the gospel of Luke - a story about average people encountering the resurrected Jesus. A story about what God is up to in our world. A story that shows us how to live as followers of Jesus. Are you part of the story?
Discipleship is walking with one another toward Jesus and God acts within healthy discipleship. But what does discipleship look like? It can take many forms - small groups, teaching and preaching, and even individual relationships.
